Meet Aaron George, Global Cleveland’s first Entrepreneur in Residence (GEIR). Originally from Dubai, Aaron pursued a dual undergraduate degree in civil engineering and business management at Case Western Reserve University. In 2019, he founded SupplyNow, a company that services food suppliers by sourcing and delivering to restaurants. Today, SupplyNow employs 17 associates and has successful secured over $600,000 in venture capital funding.

However, Aaron’s journey faced challenges due the U.S. lacks of a startup visa, for international entrepreneurs. Fortunately, the Global Entrepreneur in Residence (GEIR) program at Global Cleveland, provided a solution by partnering with H-1B cap-exempt universities and providing a pathway for international entrepreneurs. Today Global Cleveland partners with Cleveland State University and plans to expand its GEIR program to other universities. The ultimate goal is to host multiple entrepreneurs in residence simultaneously, creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for international talent in Northeast Ohio.
